Member Feature | Madeline Paech
This month’s member feature is all about our very own Madeline Paech (aka Mads), and honestly, we couldn’t be happier 😍 She’s one of those people who instantly lifts the vibe at Mâché; always kind, always fun, and always up for a good chat.
When she’s not working with Rusty Russell as a Project Manager on Lightning Network products at Blockstream, she’s out living her best life. In her own words: “aunty-ing, brunch-ing or op-shopping” and catching as much live music as she can.
We’re so lucky to have you as part of the Mâché community, Mads 💜
What’s the best thing about Mâché?
Definitely the vibe! It's a joy to come to 'the office' every day.
Any must-read books or must-watch movies?
I've failed with any attention span of late, so Matt Haig's 'The Comfort Book' is getting a good run.
Favourite holiday spot?
Whenever I can, I try to get to Newcastle to spend time with my aunt and uncle; being with them is a holiday for my heart and soul.
Go-to comfort food?
I've been frequenting Chảo's Bistro - Chinatown, specifically for Beef Rib Pho 牛肋骨越南河粉. Highly recommend!
One thing you absolutely can’t live without?
My Go-To skincare lineup: feeling very adult with a skin-care regime!
Favourite band, DJ, or solo artist?
Florence & The Machine - I'm very excited for new music from them on 31 Oct.
Perfect day out in Adelaide?
I'm happiest when I don't have to choose the activities, but ideally, the afternoon would finish with a glass of hand-crafted vino at Vinteloper. They had me hook, line and sinker when they first said: 'We want you to see this place as an extension of your living room'.
Plasma Awareness Month is Around the Corner | Lifeblood Needs Us
Did you know October is Plasma Awareness Month? Plasma is a true life-saving answer; it’s used in 18 different ways, from treating immune disorders to protecting unborn babies and helping patients through surgery. And right now, Australia needs more of it.
Mâché Coworking has its own donation team at Lifeblood, and you can donate as a member or as part of our wider community. Donations are always welcome, but there’s an urgent call-out. Lifeblood needs 12,500 more people to donate blood and plasma this week due to high demand and last-minute cancellations.
So if you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it; book your plasma donation here.
Only One Parking Space Available | Make it Yours!
Parking in the city can be a bit of a circus sometimes, so we thought we’d give you a heads-up: we have the last private parking space left here at Mâché.
If you’re often circling the CBD looking for a park, this could be the convenience you’ve been waiting for. The space is right here at Mâché (Adelaide 5000), and it’s open to anyone in the community, not just our members.
It’s secure, accessible 24/7, and $280 per month (excl. GST).
If you’re interested, email us at hello@mache.space to secure yours.

Mâché Eats | Warm Roasted Veg + Quinoa Salad with Creamy Dill Dressing
Hearty, nourishing, and full of flavour 🥗 Spring might be here, but we still need warm food, and this is the kind of salad that actually feels like a meal
You’ll need:
1 cup quinoa (uncooked)
800 g pumpkin, cubed
600 g mushrooms, halved
500 g firm tofu, cubed
1–2 red onions, cut into wedges
1 tbsp olive oil
60 g almonds
20 g pepitas
Fresh lemon, to serve
For the creamy dill dressing:
200 g coconut yoghurt
1 heaped tbsp tahini
Fresh dill, chopped
Zest + juice of 1 lemon
1 garlic clove, minced (optional)
Salt + pepper to taste
Water (to thin, if needed)
How to make it:
Cook quinoa (1:2 quinoa-to-water ratio. A rice cooker makes it foolproof).
Roast pumpkin, mushrooms, onion, and tofu with olive oil, salt + pepper at 210°C for ~30 mins, until golden and crispy.
Mix up the dressing; keep it thick and creamy or thin it with lemon/water to your taste.
Toast almonds + pepitas in a dry pan until just golden.
Toss roasted veg + tofu through the quinoa, squeeze over fresh lemon, drizzle with dressing, and top with toasted nuts + seeds.
Big batch friendly, easily adaptable, and seriously yum!
As always, thanks to our amazing member, Sarah Lelliott, for this yummy recipe. Chef kiss guaranteed 🤌🏼

InDaily spoke with co-creator Tyler Roach and producer Cameron Rogers about the deal, which they said they were “humbled” by.
Roach explained that Pro Jank Footy was designed for people who love Australian Rules Football.
“We really wanted to make sure that football fans care about this game,” he said.
But the game also has appeal for those less familiar with footy, with the sport’s rules quickly thrown out the window in favour of janky, chaotic powers.

Culture | Nature Festival of South Australia
Now in it's 6th year, over 400 nature-inspired events are blooming all across South Australia from 26 Sept - 12 Oct 2025.
These include art, adventure, music, food, wine, wellbeing, and Aboriginal culture, including many free and family-friendly events.
This year, the festival explores the theme of Flow, with a focus on rivers, oceans, water and creative flow.
Local | Up Your Thrifting Game
With Adelaide Fashion Week coming up again next month, we are back echoing our sentiment from our Clothes Swap event last year: fast fashion is out, second-hand shopping is in.
Australia's per-capita apparel sales volume is 63.83 pieces annually, amounting to over 1 billion new garments purchased annually, contributing to over 200000 tonnes of clothes to landfill each year.
Though many people shop second-hand because it’s better for the environment (avoiding fast fashion retailers that mass produce the latest trends with such quick turnarounds), the general consensus is that it's the perfect way to find items that no one else has. InDaily interviewed some stylish treasure hunters at a second-hand market for their thrift tips.

Sustainability | How is Australia faring on its climate targets?
As 2025 hits the halfway mark, here’s a quick look at how Australia’s climate progress is shaping up so far and how you can help move things forward.
Like many countries around the world, Australia has set climate targets to cut fossil fuel pollution and shift to cleaner energy. The plan is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 43 per cent (compared to 2005 levels) by 2030 and reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
What that means in practice is moving away from fossil fuels and relying more on renewable energy. The goal the government has set is getting 82 per cent of the country’s electricity from sources like solar and wind by the end of the decade. So, are we on track?
