Member Feature | Lily Twelftree
Say hi to our new member, Lily Twelftree from Barefaced 👋 Living proof that you can do it all (and still smile about it). When she’s not consulting beauty brands as a data analyst, she’s busy juggling… well, just about everything else: building a mobile app, making TikToks, recording podcasts, and studying computer science at uni.
Basically, she’s a non-stop mix of curiosity and creativity.
We’re not sure when she sleeps, but we’re glad she’s here! Welcome to Mâché, Lily 💜
What’s the best thing about Mâché?
How much it feels like a second home. It's allowed me to blend all the things that I love about working for myself while also providing me so many of the parts I missed about working in corporate: routine, community and getting out of my PJs!
Any must-read books or must-watch movies?
My lack of reading so far this year is embarrassing, and I am not much of a movie-goer, but I LOVE TV. Particularly bad TV. Currently obsessed with Love Island USA, and before that, I devoured the most recent season of The Bear.
Favourite holiday spot?
Byron Bay. I spent a lot of time there growing up and adore the pace of life there.
Go-to comfort food?
Any of my sister's desserts. I have the pleasure (and pain) of coming home to freshly baked pastries almost daily. She's been experimenting with croissants lately, which have become a new favourite.
One thing you absolutely can’t live without?
My cat, Winnie!
Favourite band, DJ, or solo artist?
Currently addicted to Lorde's new album. Have had it on repeat for weeks and spend my time at Mâché headbanging to it at my desk.
Perfect day out in Adelaide?
Is it cheating to say down the coast? I think the best part of Adelaide is its surroundings. I love getting down to Second Valley or Carickalinga when the weather allows.
For these colder months, I love spending weekends at the footy, both local and professional.
Member Highlight | Jim McBryde & Tony Ziolek Shape the New Larkview Sales Centre
We love seeing our members bring big projects to life! Jim McBryde from Glasgow Hart and Tony Ziolek from Studio Anya teamed up on the Larkview Sales Centre near Mount Barker.
GlasgowHart led the design, taking the client brief from Jinding, a Melbourne-based property developer, and delivering concept design, finishes selection, and documentation. Jim worked closely with project managers Neoscape and fit-out contractor Elite Building Co. to bring the space to life (ahead of schedule, according to the client!), while Tony’s stunning 3D renders helped shape the space from concept to reality.
The sales team loved the result too, describing it as a “calm, well-considered space, the best they had dealt with.”
It’s projects like these that make our Mâché community such an inspiring place to work, create, and connect. Congrats, Jim and Tony, brilliant work!

Mâché Eats | Oat Slice
This recipe will become your new go-to! Super simple, naturally sweet, and easy to tweak depending on what’s in your pantry or your dietary vibe.
Ingredients:
220g rolled oats
480g ripe banana
¼ cup water or plant mylk
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp @acaciablends Turmeric Shroom blend (optional but fun)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarb soda
Mash or blend the banana and liquid until smooth. Stir through all other ingredients. Fold in any extras you love (see below), pour into a lined baking tin, and bake at 170°C for 30–40 minutes, until golden and just set in the middle.
Top it off with your fave yoghurt, nut butter, or mix your protein powder extra thick for an icing-style moment.
Add-in inspo:
Protein powder (may need extra liquid)
Berries (fresh or frozen)
Chopped nuts and seeds
Choc-chunks or cacao nibs
Swirled peanut butter
Shredded coconut
Diced apple or peach
Dates or figs
A drop of orange essential oil
The best part? This slice works for breakfast, snack time, your post-yoga glow, or when the 3 pm crash hits hard.
As always, huge thanks to the mastermind behind these recipes, our wonderful member Sarah Lelliott 💜

Business | Goal: Adelaide video game picked up by national distributor
Adelaide game development studio Powerbomb Games has reached a major milestone with their debut game, Pro Jank Footy, being acquired by Australian entertainment company Umbrella’s new video games division.
The agreement will see Umbrella Gaming come on board to provide funding and marketing in the lead-up to the game’s release in April next year.
InDaily spoke with co-creator Tyler Roach and producer Cameron Rogers about the deal, which they said they were “humbled” by.
Roach explained that Pro Jank Footy was designed for people who love Australian Rules Football.
“We really wanted to make sure that football fans care about this game,” he said.
But the game also has appeal for those less familiar with footy, with the sport’s rules quickly thrown out the window in favour of janky, chaotic powers.

Culture | Purkarari: Slow down
Where?
First Floor Gallery, Adelaide Town Hall
128 King William Street
Adelaide SA 5000
When?
1 July 2025 — 2 February 2026
Find out more here.
'Purkarari: Slow down' is an exhibition of major new works by Zaachariaha Fielding alongside collaborative paintings created with senior artists working out of the APY Studio in Adelaide. Rooted in the Pitjantjatjara word Purkarari, meaning a deep calm through work, Fielding explores the meditative act of creation in partnership with celebrated artists Sandra Pumani, Yaritji Young, Nyunmiti Burton, Jennifer Ingkatji, Yaritji Heffernan, Margaret Richards, and Megan Lyons. Together, their work speaks to the restorative nature of painting—where movement, expression, and shared creativity quiet the mind and strengthen cultural connections.
Local | SALA Open Studios
Have you been to the nearest Community Garden to Mâché?
In 2012, more than 40 local residents, Elected Members and Council staff came together to plant 71 fruit and nut trees in the Morrie Harrell playground and reserve in Unley. The trees included stone fruit, citrus, apples, pears, mulberries, walnuts, macadamias, almonds, chestnuts and guavas.
Every August, South Australian artists open their studios to the public as part of the SALA Festival. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet local artists and see how they work, whether they are part of a group studio or working from a home-studio. While many studios are open longer, most will coincide with the Open Studios Weekend, which will be on Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 August 2025.

Wellbeing | Loneliness Awareness Week
Last week was Loneliness Awareness Week, shedding light on the fact that despite being the most digitally connected generation, many young Australians report feeling socially disconnected and it’s impacting their health and wellbeing.
As huge fans of connection & community, we highly recommend checking out some of the feel-good videos on this website, where young people share their experiences of shared moments.
Sustainability | Breakout Creek / Purruna Pari Tour – Transforming a drain into a river
The Breakout Creek Stage 3 Project has transformed 1.6 km of River Torrens / Karrawirra Pari from an artificial channel with limited biodiversity and limited community access, into a vibrant new ecosystem integrating significant community amenity, recreational opportunities, and bespoke sculptures expressing Kaurna life and heritage.
Attendees will see how the former featureless, straight, grassed trapezoidal drainage channel is now barely recognisable following in-channel works to create new aquatic planting zones and a more sinuous main channel morphology; how two re-entrant blind channels create new quiescent aquatic habitat zones; and how the construction of two new contra-flow wetlands situated above the main river channel improves the quality of urban stormwater flowing into the river and the gulf.
Attendees will see some of the 245,000 locally indigenous terrestrial and aquatic plants that have been planted, covering some 80 different species and appreciate the sculptural artworks commissioned for the project from Kaurna, Ngarrindjeri and Yankunytjatjara artist Allan Sumner.
