Welcome | Kelly Davis

There’s a new face at the front desk! While Natalia is off welcoming the newest member of her family, we’re thrilled to introduce Kelly, who is taking over as our Community Manager.

When she’s not on-site taking care of our members, you can usually find Kelly experimenting in the kitchen, brewing up coffees at a café in Glenelg, or out for a beachside run.

On the weekends, she loves exploring SA’s coastline with her partner, Jody. And if she’s daydreaming about travel? It’s always about her favourite place in the world: Italy!

Kelly will be here on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Make sure to stop by the front desk and say hello! 👋

Favourite holiday spot?

Italy, especially Rome, the Eternal City. I've been there many times but am still amazed by how you can walk right past all those historical artifacts that have been around for centuries. The municipality of Rome keeps on stumbling upon new archaeological finds during construction - absolutely fascinating. Plus, the food in Rome is simply delicious.

Any must-read book or must-watch movie?

I love reading and am part of a book club. My favourite genre is historical fiction. I don't mind a good movie, but I’m more into series. I've just finished Pluribus by Vince Gilligan (he directed the X-files and Breaking Bad) and can't wait for the next season to come out. Oh, and I loved Severance! I have too many recommendations, I’m afraid.

Favourite restaurant in Adelaide?

Peel St and Shōbōsho for a special occasion. I also love a good pizza, and Blue Velvet in Mile End is a favourite. If you ever visit and have some room for dessert, you should definitely try their tiramisù.

One thing you absolutely can’t live without?

I would be devastated if I ever lost my sense of taste and smell. Getting a little treat, enjoying a good glass of wine, nice coffee or knowing that you’ll have something really yummy for dinner can absolutely make my day. I also really enjoy pottering in the kitchen - enjoying food is a big part of my life.

Best thing about Mâché?

I have only been at Mâché for a short while, but have felt very welcomed by our community. Our members have all made an effort to get to know me, and the social events have been a big plus.

Mâché Recommends | Acacia Blends

Find them at the Adelaide Hills Farmers Market Saturday 22 August, with their super delicious, highly nutritious Functional Mushroom blends to try and buy. From a spicy chai or rich hot choccie, to savoury sprinkles... they're all oh-so-good!

Mâché Recommends | Faino Crepes & More

There’s a new café next door! Volodymyr and his family are originally from Ukraine and sell delicious crêpes, home-made pastries and traditional Ukrainian dishes.

We couldn't resist and stopped by for lunch on Natalia’s last day. The sour cherries and cream crêpe was delicious, and the owners have done a great job decorating the place. We haven’t tried their borscht - but we’re sure it’s unbeetable!

Faino is open Monday - Saturday from 07:30 am, and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday they stay open late.
