Attention Members | Parking Space Available
City parking can be tricky, so here’s a heads-up: there’s one private parking space available at Mâché!
If you’re tired of endlessly circling the CBD for a spot, this could be the convenience you’ve been waiting for. Located right here at Mâché (Adelaide 5000), it’s open to anyone in the community, not just our members.
It’s secure, accessible 24/7, and just $280 per month (excl. GST).
First in, best dressed 😉
New Member Alert | Nicole White
Nicole has just joined the Mâché community as a Roaming Desk member! She works as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, helping people manage stress and anxiety, break repeating patterns, move beyond limiting beliefs, and improve self-perception through hypnosis and body psychotherapy.
Outside of work, Nicole takes ballet and contemporary dance classes and is a proud aunt to her very cool, very fun (and very fast!) 3-year-old niece, Isla.
Welcome to Mâché, Nicole! We’re so happy to have you with us 💜
What’s the best thing about Mâché?
The big windows! I love being able to see the sky as I work. I also have a feeling I’ll be spending a lot of time doing recordings in the Burgundy Room soon, too.
Any must-read books or must-watch movies?
The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot is pretty next level, as is The Genie in our Genes by Dawson Church. When The Body Says No by Dr Gabor Maté constantly informs my work, as does The Body Keeps The Score by Bessel Van Der Kolk. Movies — I gotta say, I’ve seen The Arrival many, many times. It gives me chills. Also, Contact. Yes, there’s a running theme!
Favourite holiday spot?
Port Douglas. I love it there. I tend to go in the wet season when it’s less populated with tourists, and have been blessed with ideal weather 98% of the time.
Go-to comfort food?
I enjoy a soy cap and pain au chocolat combo. Also, the Tofu and Mushroom Noodle Bowl from Bakmi Lim is always a winner.
One thing you absolutely can’t live without?
Probably a notebook. I’m analogue at heart. I note constantly.
Favourite band, DJ, or solo artist?
L.E.J — they’re a French trio who create these epic pop mash-ups. So clever and very catchy.
Perfect day out in Adelaide?
An early drive up the hill to the Stirling Cellars and Patisserie for coffee, then a meander through the markets if they’re on. Then coast back down the hill to the Botanic Gardens. Perhaps an afternoon swim. A home-cooked meal. An evening walk.

Sustainability | How Spogomi Turns Litter into a Winning Sport
Inspired by Japan’s unique ‘trash-picking sport,’ discover how Australia’s first spogomi World Cup qualifier turned waste collection into a fun and eco-friendly competition.
In late August, Australia held its spogomi World Cup qualifier, where nearly 100 participants came together and sorted litter into coloured bags until the end of the competition. The winning team would stand a chance to travel to Tokyo and compete in the Spogomi World Cup against 20 countries, including the US, the UK and China.
Spogomi, created in Japan in 2008, blends the English word “sport” with gomi, meaning rubbish. The aim is to transform litter collection into an engaging game that raises environmental awareness, with points awarded based on the type and weight of rubbish collected, while bulky items like tyres or prams attract penalties.
